Always on the lookout for new solutions for overcoming erectile dysfunction – both naturally and medically -I’ve come across a fairly recent, and innovative, method of permanently improving erections.
Using low-intensity shockwave therapy, men with erectile dysfunction of all levels, from mild to severe, have experienced a big, and permanent, improvement in their erection quality.
This solution even worked in men who weren’t responding to typical ED medications such as Viagra and Cialis.
Shocking The Penis – A Possible Permanent Solution For Overcoming ED
Shockwave therapy was first used in the 1980’s to treat conditions such gall stones, pancreatic stones, parotid gland stones, and even bone ununion and pseudoarthrosis.
In recent times, treatment of erectile dysfunction with low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (LI-ESWT) or low-energy shock wave therapy (LESWT) has shown amazing results in improving erection quality.
In several studies using shockwave equipment, including the ED1000 by Medispec, erectile dysfunction has been reversed, and erection quality significantly improved, in men up to several years following treatment.
The treatment is not a temporary solution either. ED meds, even if they function for you, need to be taken on an as-needed basis. With shock wave treatment, cavernosal tissue in the penis is permanently improved. Thanks to angionetic properties of the shock wave therapy – new blood vessels and capillaries are formed, and erectile tissue is “rejuvenated”.
Non-responders of ED medications were also found to now be able to to respond to the ED meds, once treatment has been applied.
What More Do Need To Know About Shock Wave Therapy for ED, and Where Can You Get It?
Shockwave treatment for overcoming erectile dysfunction is not available in the US yet (currently under review by the FDA), but approved and available in Canada. Several other countries in Asia and Europe have the treatment available as well.
While the ED1000 is the best-known piece of equipment for this purpose, and can cost up to $4,000 or so for a course of treatment, other “substitutes” are available for under $2,000.
The treatment lasts 15 minutes or so, is painless, and is an outpatient procedure. Approximately 12 different sessions will be required. While most men experience a significant benefit, if not all around cure, to their ED, results can vary from patient to patient.
Side effects are rare, and if present, only temporary. These include burning, tingling, hypersensitivity and rash in the application area.

Other Methods of Overcoming Erectile Dysfunction
Besides shock wave therapy, other medical solutions to ED are the better-known Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra, and for very severe erectile dysfunction, penile implants.
Naturally rejuvenating your penis and erections is possible as well.
Cardio on it’s own has shown to provide a major improvement to men’s erectile function. Kegels have also been touted as a natural solution to ED, and for good reason.
When strengthened to it’s max, a strong PC muscle provides a sort of “anchor” to hold your erection in place, providing longer-lasting erections. Combined with manual techniques performed on the penis to provide improved circulation throughout the penis, you can have significantly harder erections, and naturally as well.
Medical Solutions vs. Natural Solutions for Improving Erections
A lot of times this comes down to your philosophy on life, and health in general.
If you’re not against taking a shortcut, and are looking for results, medical solutions to your sexual problems are a great solution. You will have to take the financial part into consideration (or have a good health insurance).
If you’re more about holistic solutions, where curing the body cures the ailments, than natural may be the way to go for you.
I’m somewhere in the middle… should there be an issue where a medical treatment just makes sense, or there is no natural solution, I go the medical route without hesitation. Also, in some instances, a medical solution is far superior to any natural alternative.
However, for instance, in the case of erectile dysfunction, using natural methods such as strengthening my PC muscle to the max with “super kegels”, manually improving the blood flow throughout my penis (which also leads to a bigger flaccid hang), and performing cardio on a regular basis, I not only have excellent erection strength and duration, but have improved my overall health, self-esteem and sense of well-being.
